Cloud Engineer
As a Cloud Engineer, you will design, implement, and operate Azure-based infrastructure and platform services that support customer solutions and internal service delivery. The role combines hands-on engineering with technical solution design across compute, networking, identity, security, automation, monitoring, and service continuity. You will be responsible for building reliable and supportable cloud environments, improving operational maturity through automation and standardization, and contributing to architectural decisions for new and existing services.
You will work across the full service lifecycle, including solution design, provisioning, configuration, hardening, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The role requires close cooperation with project teams, service owners, and customers to translate technical requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable cloud solutions.
This position is suited for a technical specialist who is comfortable working with production environments, hybrid connectivity, operational support, and infrastructure automation, while also contributing to service design and technical consulting.
What we look for:
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including design, deployment, configuration, and operation of IaaS and selected PaaS services
Strong understanding of Azure core services such as Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage, NSGs, VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall among others.
Experience designing and maintaining secure, highly available, and scalable cloud environments for production workloads
Knowledge of infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform or Ansible
Practical experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, or similar tools
Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices related to infrastructure delivery, configuration management, and release processes
Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting in cloud and hybrid environments
Working knowledge of cloud security, access control, policy enforcement, backup, disaster recovery, and service continuity concepts
Ability to produce and maintain technical documentation, implementation designs, and operational runbooks
Ability to participate in technical workshops, requirement analysis, and customer-facing discussions when defining or improving solutions
Fluency in English
Nice to have:
Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, or equivalent observability tooling
Knowledge of Azure Policy, Management Groups, RBAC, Microsoft Entra ID, or governance and identity management practices
Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD platforms used for infrastructure and service deployment
Familiarity with hybrid connectivity and multi-environment operations, including Azure Lighthouse or delegated administration models
Experience with backup and resilience tooling such as Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, or similar solutions
Knowledge of database platform operations such as MS SQL administration, performance, or cloud-hosted data services
Understanding of security and compliance practices aligned with standards such as ISO 27001 or GDPR
Experience supporting automation platforms or RPA-related infrastructure is considered an advantage
