Founded in 2015, Digital Workforce now employs over 200 business automation specialists across the UK & Ireland, the US, and Northern and Central Europe. The company is also listed on the Nasdaq First Growth Market Finland.
Healthcare is the company’s largest vertical, contributing over 50% of DWF’s 28.7m EUR annual revenue. The company has a proven record of automating critical tasks and end-to-end care pathways within healthcare organisations, which continues to transform patient care, enhance productivity, and improve financial sustainability.

Currently, we are looking for an:
ACCOUNT DIRECTOR (UK HEALTHCARE)
As an Account Director (UK Healthcare), you will drive growth across a portfolio of our existing NHS customer accounts. You will develop new relationships with key stakeholders, identify untapped opportunities, and build long-term strategic partnerships with our customers. You will also be responsible for introducing more sophisticated automation and AI solutions to our NHS customer base. This role is exclusively focused on the growth of existing NHS customer accounts; each customer within your portfolio will also have a Customer Success Manager that is responsible for the retention, customer satisfaction, and overall success of each account.
Please note – this is primarily a remote (UK based) role, but regular travel to customer sites and in-person team events is expected. Occasional international travel within Europe may also be required.
What You Will Do:
Drive account expansion: you will be responsible for originating new automation opportunities within your customer portfolio, and leading platform and services upsells within these accounts. To do so, you will need to be able to position automation use cases around productivity, CIP delivery, workforce optimisation, elective recovery, and pathway transformation.
Develop strategic relationships at executive level: build trusted relationships with multiple C-level NHS stakeholders and Transformation/Programme Directors across your portfolio of customers. You will focus on how Digital Workforce can solve their biggest challenges through automation and AI and act as the primary point of contact for commercial and strategic discussions in these accounts.
Develop and execute account plans: work closely with the Customer Success team to create structured account plans focused on revenue growth, stakeholder engagement, and long-term strategic value. You will be required to develop a detailed understanding of each customer’s priorities and transformation agenda, and understand how they align with automation and AI.
Lead end-to-end sales cycles: take full ownership of end-to-end sales cycles from first engagement to contract signature. You will be responsible for identifying customer needs, shaping opportunities, securing funding, and closing existing customer upsells. You will work closely with the commercial team on upsell opportunities, who will support the identification and selection of use cases, build proposals, write business cases, and lead contract work.
Create market presence: build credibility within the NHS ecosystem through networks, events, and referrals, and position Digital Workforce as the strategic automation and AI partner to the NHS.
Build and maintain pipeline: generate a high-quality pipeline aligned to growth targets and take full ownership of forecasting, qualification, deal progression, and conversion.
